Joan has more than 20 years of project management experience, and has managed a broad range of grant programs. Joan has the ability to coordinate projects effectively, meeting tight deadlines. Her hands-on experience with grant writing, renewals and reporting procedures has contributed to many successful proposals and projects.

Joan has developed strategic partnerships to ensure project success; some of these have included health care professionals, school district personnel, Parks Service administrators, University professors, museum administrators, and Tribal program staff. Her positive teamwork approach has forged effective relationships with schools and Tribal councils for promoting programs in rural Alaskan schools and Villages. Efficient working relationships with Tribal, local, federal, and state agencies are a testimony to her expertise, knowledge and abilities.
